A Day in the City: Part I

Before we left San Francisco we wanted to see as many things as we could so we dedicated most of our weekends to doing just that. Over President's Day weekend we spent that Saturday with Matt & Liz and the girls out and about in the city doing some of our favorite old things and experiencing and doing some new ones too. It was a packed day but it couldn't have been more fun and more memorable. We just love the Carpenters and going on adventures with them. It seems like we always end up laughing so hard it hurts and just enjoying ourselves like we were 15 again. I love friends that you can feel so open and so free with. We love you Carpenters and can't wait for you to come back to San Diego!

So on this very fun day exploring the city here are some of the things we did: ate at Mama's (of course! We had to get in as many visits as possible before leaving! don't make fun, we know we're obsessed :) ), visited the Coit Tower, rode trolley cars from Fisherman's Wharf to Union Square, played on the Westin St. Francis elevators for way too long for mature adults :), walked around downtown and window-shopped, drove around Union and Broadway Streets and caught amazing views of the sunset, and to top it all off had a wonderful Italian dinner at Gaspare's back in the Richmond. We had such a fun time and our kids were troopers!

At Mama's
Matt & Maddie's silly faces, Maddie Lou is such a little ham, I love it!
The MOST delicious breakfast of my life! The Monte Cristo! Isn't she a beauty!?
