Merry Christmas sweetheart! Thank you for keeping a record of our lives together. I know it takes a lot of time to keep everyone up-to-date on the latest from the Henry house, and we all appreciate it. Here's to another great year of memories! All my love is yours. - Dan
Ward Relay

The other weekend our ward did a relay race/fun run with some of the other wards close by on Saturday morning in the Presidio. Although I'm pretty sure Dan has never run this far in his entire life (he is not a fan of running--he'll pretty much do any other sport/physical activity but he always vetoes running--sad for me since I really enjoy it but just can't do it right now!), he signed up to run 7 miles. Crazy boy. We got up early and went and had a great time. While Dan ran I went on the 3 mile walk with Liz and her girls and other non-runners. We went up part way onto the Golden Gate Bridge and took some pictures. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun. Dan ended up doing great and even made awesome time! Maybe he will learn to love running after all!!! :)

Work Christmas Party

A couple week's ago Dan's company had their Holiday party at the Clift Hotel downtown and afterwards they put everyone up in a hotel who wanted to stay. We were really excited for this night out since we don't get too many opportunities to dress up and go to a swanky party in a super cool ultra modern downtown hotel. The Carpenters were sweet enough to watch Cal for us while we went to the party and then after things were winding down, we ran and picked him up and drove back to the hotel with him to have him stay in our hotel room with us for the night. We realize that staying in a hotel with a baby doesn't sound like the most exciting thing in the world but we just had to take advantage of the free room and a chance to stay downtown for a night. It ended up being great. We had sooo much fun at the party (awesome venue, unbelieveable food, cool music, etc.) and then Cal did great in our room for the night. We are so glad we just did it even though it takes a little more effort to make things work with a baby. To top the night off Dan won an awesome award for all his hard work which was not only exciting and a huge honor but it also means extra vacation days and a free trip anywhere of our choice!!! Now we just need to decide where to go! Way to go Dan--we're so proud of you!
Getting ready for our night out!
Looking lovely after our first night in a hotel with Cal ;)
Almost 4 Months Old!!!

Well, I can't believe it. Our little peanut himself is almost 4 months old. He is all grins now and is quite the little flirt. We got some adorable pictures of him a couple weeks ago in some of his new clothes he can fit in from Grandma and also in the Bumbo chair our friends let us borrow. I love the pictures of him in that because he looks like he's in a big recliner or something. I just love this little guy so much and love seeing him grow and change. It's the best!

So You Think You Can Dance!

The day after Thanksgiving Dan and I got our first babysitter ever for Cal and went with the Carpenters to the So You Think You Can Dance concert! Dan and Matt gave Liz and me the tickets for our birthday back in August so we have been looking forward to this for quite awhile! We loved watching the show this past season with the Carpenters and so it made it so much more fun that the 4 of us could go together. It was a little nerve-racking leaving Cal for the first time but our friends were so sweet to watch him and it went great. It felt so good to get away for an evening and we had a blast feeling young and carefree again with Matt and Liz! We really had such a great time and the concert was even better than I could have imagined. It was sooooo fun to see live. We got some fun pictures from the show and then afterwards, on our way home (and after a quick stop in Oakland at one of the most terrifying In 'n Outs I have ever been to at 11 pm--I truly thought we were going to be either mugged or shot :) ), we decided to stop dowtown at Union Square and take some pictures by the big Christmas tree since it had just been lit that night. So fun! The city really is so cool during the holidays.

The 4 of us at intermission--Yes, Liz and I did get matching So You Think You Can Dance shirts, and yes, we did put them on during the show! We love them. :)
A shot of Sabra doing her solo!
There were so many dances I loved I can hardly pick my favorite but this is a really hard to see picture of one of my all time favorites with Lacey and Danny to Hip Hip Chin Chin. I just LOVE that one!
The tree at Union Square! So beautiful and festive! I love Christmastime!!!
Thanksgiving

This year we stuck around here for Thanksgiving and had a very fun and relaxing weekend. We got together with Matt and April and the Carpenters for dinner and just had a dandy time at our house. The food couldn't have been more amazing and as tradition goes we ate til we could eat no more. To usher in the Christmas season we also watched 'Elf'. So fun. Here are a couple pics we snapped on Turkey Day.

This picture is actually not from Thanksgiving and I realize it is horrible of me since I just got out of the shower, but I just love this picture snuggling with my little babe. He is such a sweetie.
