Part I: Grandma A, Papa Don, Wisconsin Cousins, and More.....

In the middle of August we had so so much fun having a visit from Grandma A, Papa Don, and my 3 oldest niece and nephews from Wisconsin. The Roger kiddos flew all by themselves here to San Diego (what brave kid) and my Mom drove over from Phoenix. I hadn't gotten to see the Chandler, Carlie, and Caleb in almost a year so I was so excited to spend some time with them. We had a great time going to the pool about every other second (those kids are addicted to water!!! They wanted to be swimming every second! Even after a long long day at the beach they wanted to come back to our place and go swimming in the pool. haha), watching movies (including HS Musical, yes, it was a great excuse for me ;) ), playing cards, and just having fun.

On the Friday they were here we took them to Legoland. It was super fun but a really hot day and there were quite the time consuming lines we had to wait in. So I think we were all a little tired when we were done, but all in all we had a great time there.

Celebrating his 1st Birthday a little early with Grandma--he loved all his cute gifts!!

That day also happened to be our anniversary so me and my hubby got to go out on the town while Grandma watched all 4 kids and held down the fort at home. (Thanks Momma!!) We had so much fun being alone for the night and going down to La Jolla for an amazing Italian dinner at Sante Ristorante. The figs and Prosciutto were AMAZING! Afterwards we went to see Dark Knight since it had been a million years it felt like since we'd been to a movie in the theater together. We had a great time staying out til the wee hours and we loved getting some time out alone.


And what would an anniversary be without beautiful flowers delivered to my doorstep!?
