Weekend Trip to Visalia

This past weekend Dan and I drove down to Visalia (near Fresno, CA) to visit my sister and her family. My Mom and Don also flew into town from Phoenix for a visit so it was a blast being together with everyone. It was so strange how even after just two months of living in the city Dan and I couldn't believe how different it felt to be in 'suburbia' where there are real houses with tons of space, frontyards, grass, and wide open streets without cars on every square inch of conceiveable parking space. Our jaws seriously dropped when we drove into their neighborhood--even though we'd been there before. Ali and Marc's house is gorgious and it makes us excited to someday have a big house of our very own----ahhhhhh.......someday, someday. It was so nice of Allyson and Marc to have us down though and visit with them. We got to really enjoy the 'family' life as we went to a dance recital, soccer game, and baseball game all in one morning!!! It was so much fun. We can't wait to have kids and do the same thing. Chandler, Carlie, and Caleb were so cute and so fun and baby Rachel was adorable. We got to do a little shopping too Saturday afternoon to look at some baby/maternity stuff and then Saturday evening we barbequed, played games in the backyard, and then played cards. It was nice to enjoy some warm weather for a change too. We had a great time and are so glad we can be close enough to the Rogers to visit more regularly.
