Work Christmas Party

A couple week's ago Dan's company had their Holiday party at the Clift Hotel downtown and afterwards they put everyone up in a hotel who wanted to stay. We were really excited for this night out since we don't get too many opportunities to dress up and go to a swanky party in a super cool ultra modern downtown hotel. The Carpenters were sweet enough to watch Cal for us while we went to the party and then after things were winding down, we ran and picked him up and drove back to the hotel with him to have him stay in our hotel room with us for the night. We realize that staying in a hotel with a baby doesn't sound like the most exciting thing in the world but we just had to take advantage of the free room and a chance to stay downtown for a night. It ended up being great. We had sooo much fun at the party (awesome venue, unbelieveable food, cool music, etc.) and then Cal did great in our room for the night. We are so glad we just did it even though it takes a little more effort to make things work with a baby. To top the night off Dan won an awesome award for all his hard work which was not only exciting and a huge honor but it also means extra vacation days and a free trip anywhere of our choice!!! Now we just need to decide where to go! Way to go Dan--we're so proud of you!
