Christmas at Mom's house is the best--And that's a fact! I love going home for Christmas and we were so lucky to be able to make it there to Arizona for the holidays again this year.
Mom's decorations are the best and walking into her house will put you right into the Christmas spirit. She makes the yummiest treats (fudge, carmels, you name it!), has Christmas music playing, and is always ready to do fun Christmas activities with the kids. I just love being home for Christmas!
We arrived a few days before Christmas and since this December was exceptionally crazy for me with photography and Dan was super busy with work too, we were thrilled to make it there and finally have a break! We were SO tired! We drove over and the kids did so great. They are becoming the best little travelers ever. I love it! We did pretty much all our shopping that week since we'd been too busy the rest of the month. But shopping is one of the things we love best about Phoenix so it worked out nicely. :) Grandma even spoiled us and babysat the kids one evening so Dan and I could go out. It was divine!
This year Amy came down from Utah and it was so fun spending time with her and with my stepsisters. Cal loves visiting Grandma A and Papa Don's house and was in heaven with all the attention and fun. Scarlett was such a sweetheart and did so great too.

I just LOVE getting to spend time with my sister. There's just never enough of it!
We also went to the Mesa Temple to see the Christmas lights. It is such a fun tradition and I just love going.

Christmas Eve was so fun because Calvin really understood everything so well this year and couldn't have been more excited! He was so thrilled that Santa was going to come down the chimney and was really worried that he would get burned on the candles burning in the fireplace. :) After we assured him though he had a great time writing a letter to Santa with Daddy's help and leaving a plate of cookies and milk.
And we got to open up our matching Jammies from Grandma A and Papa Don! We love that tradition and of course have to take a hundred pictures that always seem to end in some serious fits of laughter.
