5 Months

My little June-Bug is already 5 1/2 months old. Where on earth is the time going? I sure wish I could freeze her here. She is such a sweet little thing and I literally cannot get enough of her. She went from being a darling, but rather fussy babe up til about 4 months old, and then all of a sudden its like someone flipped a switch! She is so happy and content almost all the time and just hangs out and goes with the flow. She smiles and giggles, kicks and plays, rolls all over the place and loves her big brother like no other. She loves watching him even though I think she must think he is a flash of light or something with how fast he moves around her. But she just watches and watches and LOVES when she gets his attention. He can make her laugh better than anyone. And Cal really is so sweet with her. He just loves his "Sissy girl" and asks to hold her all the time. He loves sitting next to her in the car and helping do things for her. The other day he looked at me and said, "Mommy, I want another baby to come. One just like Scarlett." It was so sweet.

Scarlett loves her little toys and plays with them all throughout the day. She is starting to sleep with her little giraffe and loves to snuggle it close to her. She also has decided that she much prefers her tummy for sleeping and always gets herself flipped over after I put her down. She is a champ in her exersaucer and loves spinning and bobbing around in it. She loves to talk and sing and just jabbers on and on to us with the most adorable facial expression and scrunchy nose and twisty lips you ever saw. She sleeps 12-13 hours straight at night and take fairly good naps. I know I'm spoiled rotten. We haven't really started solids yet, because I've just been in denial that she is really getting to be old enough! But we probably will soon. I keep thinking she is teething because she is shoving her fist in her mouth all the time and chewing on everything she sees, but only time will tell. No teeth yet. She still looks a lot like Cal but is really getting a look all her own. And I'm dying to see what color her hair really is.

I love snuggling and nuzzling her and she loves to be held as much as you will. She is such a good girl and it is so fun being her Mommy. Honestly, I just treasure and adore this little baby girl more than I could possibly express. She is such a joy in our home and we are so so grateful to have her.

Cal was playing dressups and made a quick stop for a picture with his costumes and all. I love how they each look at each other.

oh so cute! what a doll - seriously can't believe she's almost 6 months! I think she looks like Cal and I'm super hoping she has red hair like dan's sister :)

The tongue picture kills me! She is such a character -- and a doll.
